In 1909, when the Ottoman Empire still existed, two businessmen with great foresight founded İlancılık. Determined to do their best on this field, they put their eyes to the international market to find a professional. They were fortunate to make a start with a CEO coming from Havas Agency who shortly became a partner.
In 1933 a new partner who was the Editor-in-chief of the Cumhuriyet newspaper joined the team.
These 4 partners carried out many successful projects before WW II.
Affected seriously by the crisis that broke out during WW II, İlancılık managed to return to its glorious days in the year of 1945 when importation began and foreign brands started to be active in the market.
Come 1980s a serious and joyous competition started with global agencies.
Having served some of the most important international and local brands in the sector, İlancılık is proud to be known as a “reliable”,”hard working” and “creative” agency and be called as the “School of Advertising” in the communication world also by colleague agencies of Turkey.
